Penrith Lottery included in Herald feature

Penrith Lottery was included in the Cumberland & Westmorland Herald’s recent feature on Penrith.

The article explained how Penrith Lottery launched in 2010 with the aim of supporting the local organisations that make Penrith a great place to live and work. It described how it works, how to be a member to be in with a chance of winning up to £5,000 and how through its membership, it supports local groups with up to £2,500 grants.

It went on to say how the main objective is to support charities and not-for-profit organisations within a five-mile radius through their grant funding programme. Awarded for capital projects and events which benefit Penrith and the surrounding area, the funding has gone to a wide variety of groups, most recently including Eden District Talking Newspapers, Penrith Lions, Upfront Arts Venue, Penrith Parish Rooms and Sunbeams Music Charity.
