How does Penrith Lottery work?
Membership of Penrith Lottery costs £2 a week to be in with the chance of winning a jackpot of up to £5,000. Your membership goes towards helping a wide range of organisations, projects and events in and around Penrith and the surrounding area.
For each line you’d like, pick four numbers between 1 and 31, which are then entered in-to our weekly draw every Wednesday. Match four numbers and you win the jackpot. Match three and you win £20.
The jackpot prize starts at £500 and increases by £100 each week if it’s not won. If it reaches £5,000, there will be a guaranteed winner picked from our members!
We publish the numbers here on our website and on our social media accounts. There is no need to check your numbers – we will automatically get in touch and send any winnings to you, but it is important for you to let us know any changes to your contact details! If you’re a jackpot winner, we’ll be in touch by phone, normally on the day of the draw. We’d really like one of our Committee Members to present the cheque to you, so we’ll give you a call to let you know the good news and arrange presentation of the cheque.
All proceeds (after expenses) are given as grants to local good causes.

You can pay monthly by Direct Debit, or six monthly or annually by cheque.
Yes. Pick four numbers between 1 and 31 and enter them on the application form. If you’d prefer us to pick your numbers for you, on the application form, tick to select a Lucky Dip facility and our specialist software will select four random numbers for you. We’ll let you know what numbers have been selected for you.
When you sign up to join the lottery, your personal details are entered on our specialist software provided by Tower Lotteries. This also includes the numbers that you have chosen, or that you’ve been issued with if you opt for a Lucky Dip. You will receive confirmation showing your numbers.
If you match all four numbers the jackpot prize would be shared, just like the National Lottery. If you match three numbers, you’ll receive the full prize of £20.
The winning numbers in each week’s draw will be published on our website and on our social media channels, so please follow us! You don’t need to check your numbers – if you’re a winner, we’ll get in touch with you. Just remember to let us know if you move house!
If you’ve moved house, got a new phone number, or changed your email address, just drop us a line using the contact form and we’ll update your details. It’s important for you to update us so we can let you know if you’ve won!
You can cancel your membership at any time. If you pay by standing order, you’ll need to notify your bank to stop the payments. However, we hope that you’ll stay with us and continue to support your local lottery.
